Ski Jumping World Cup | Canadian Alexandria Loutitt wins bronze

(Zaō, Japan) Canadian Alexandria Loutitt won the bronze medal at the ski jumping World Cup in Japan on Friday.


The 20-year-old from Calgary scored a total of 216.7 points for his two jumps in the springboard event. She ranked behind Slovenia’s Nika Prevc and Japan’s Yuki Ito, in order.

Loutitt had jumps of 94 and 98.5 meters.

Prevc, who leads the overall World Cup standings, dominated the competition by totaling 235.2 points for jumps of 98.5 and 96 meters. Ito, who had the best jump of the day at 101.5 meters, finished the event with 223.1 points.

The World Cup continues on Saturday with the team competition.
