Sixteen people will be tried from Monday May 6 to Friday July 5 before the Bouches-du-Rhone Assize Court, in Aix-en-Provence, in the case of the double assassination at Bastia airport at the end of December 2017, reports Friday France Bleu RCFM.
A total of sixteen defendants will be tried, including nine people currently detained. The brothers Richard and Christophe Guazzelli, presented during the investigation as being the “organizers of this criminal quest” will be judged, as will other names in banditry such as Ange-Marie Michelosi, Jacques Mariani but also José Menconi.
According to France Bleu RCFM, thirty lawyers will plead during this trial, including major criminal lawyers such as Bruno Rebstock, Franck Berton, Julien Pinelli and Jean-Charles Vincensini.
On December 5, 2017, after disembarking a flight from Paris, two figures of organized crime, Antoine Quilichini and Jean-Luc Codaccioni, were shot at. Antoine Quilichini died instantly while Jean-Luc Codaccioni died later from his injuries.
