Six years after the horror, police officers intervened during the attacks found a survivor of the Bataclan and a relative of the victims. France 2 attended their reunion.

They are linked forever by a common and painful history. Michel Delplace lost his daughter and his ex-wife in the attack on November 13, 2015 at the Bataclan. His grandson, then 5 years old, also attended the concert. Dthey police had found him buried under bodies. “By the time I take it, I don’t know if it’s alive or if it’s dead”, remembers Emmanuel, one of the officers.

Six years later, the two police officers found Michel Delplace in front of the cameras of France 2. “It marks a life, it marks a career. That night there is something that tied us, I think of life”, explains Emmanuel. The little boy has entered college today. His grandfather describes him as “a kid who is developing well” and “curious about everything”.

The attacks mixed up other destinies, such as those of Alain Giraud, ex-policeman of the night BAC, and Gaëlle, seriously injured. The two met for the first time, Saturday 13 November. For six years, the officer wondered: “Did she survive? How is she? How is she?” “I tell myself that they lived the same nightmare as us, even though they were on the other side of the fence”, confides Gaëlle.
