The Eure district, La Brèque in Harfleur and Montivillies are the areas where the first new tram stations unveiled by the urban community of Le Havre. The project dates back to February 2022, objective: to deploy the tramway where the LER Lézarde regional express initially passes, operated by the SNCF between Le Havre and Rolleville. Wednesday, August 31 Le Havre Seine Métropole unveiled the locations of six future stations: Montivilliers Simone-Veil, Cinéma Les Arts, Harfleur La Brèque, Stade Océane, Le Havre Gares and Eure Saint-Nicolas. For the time being the names of these stations are provisional, their locations could also be “slightly offbeat” depending on the metropolis.
Pre-work studies continue
Because it remains to be determined whether these stops can be built precisely where the metropolis plans. These preliminary studies which continue must make it possible to verify that it is technically possible, that no pre-existing structure would be hampered by the establishment of the new stops and contribute to the public inquiry : in parallel with the pre-work studies, the public consultation continues. It should last until 2024 before work begins in 2025 until 2026 for commissioning and testing in 2027. The project is estimated at a few 336 million euros.
