Six people, including five minors aged 13 to 19, were arrested and taken into police custody as part of the investigation into a series of attacks that took place between November 25 and December 11, 2021 on the Beaulieu campus in Rennes, France Bleu Armorique learned on Wednesday January 19 from the public prosecutor confirming information from West France.

The investigation is open for “theft with a weapon, extortion with a weapon and fraud”. These were stabbings, between 8 p.m. and midnight, often to steal computer equipment or cell phones. The facts had caused great concern on the Beaulieu campus.

At least five students had filed a complaint. Rennes 1 University had reinforced surveillance and security measures on its campus at the time of the events.
