Singer Aya Nakamura is nominated in six categories at the Flames ceremony, dedicated to rap and its trends, the organizers announced Monday April 8 in a press release.
In total, around fifty artists are nominated in 24 categories during this second edition, including Aya Nakamura, Gazo, Hamza, Freeze Corleone, Heuss l’Enfoiré, Ninho and SCH. The co-producer of the ceremony, Tom Brunet, welcomes this “diversity” of profiles, and the fact “that there are different types of artists at different stages of their career”.
“We are celebrating 2023 and the nominations reflect the richness of the musical year that we have just experienced.”

Aya Nakamura, the most listened to French-speaking singer in the world, obtains six nominations: album of the year (DNK), new pop album (DNK), song of the year (Baby), female artist of the year, music video of the year (Baby) and concert of the year (at the Accor Arena, in Paris). The second edition of Les Flammes will be held on April 25 at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris. The ceremony will be broadcast “free and live on YouTube, Twitch and for the first time live on W9”.
The organizers of the ceremony explain that “the nominations and winners are the result, for the vast majority of the Flames, of the addition of the results of the public vote and the jury vote”, for 50% each. Thus, for the 2024 edition, the jury is made up of “11 women and 12 men” who voted “out of 17 of the 24 categories”. This year, the organizers recorded twice as many public votes as in 2023, during the very first edition: “In 15 days, 280,635 people voted on 14 of the 24 categories for a total of 1,878,026 votes submitted”they add.
