Six months in prison with a probationary reprieve of two years were requested this Wednesday by the Paris prosecutor’s office against the host Jean-Marc Morandini, tried for the sexual harassment of a young actor and for concealed work of five people in his production company. The prosecutor is also asking for a fine of 10,000 euros for the host, an obligation of care and compensation for the victim.
A fine of 50,000 euros is also requested against the company “Ne zappez pas! production”, as well as the obligation to broadcast a message relating to the conviction on casting sites and in the press.
Exhibition and false identity
The trial of television host Jean-Marc Morandini opened on Tuesday before the Paris court in the presence of the defendant. These lawsuits relate to the filming, between June and September 2015, of a web-series entitled The Falcons, of which Jean-Marc Morandini was the producer. He is also in this context judged for “concealed work” of five plaintiffs via his production company “Ne zapez pas! production” (NZPP). The trial is scheduled for two days.
The host of the CNews channel (Canal + group), in a dark suit and white shirt without a tie, allegedly encouraged young actors, aged 19 to 26 at the time, to show themselves naked for the castings of this series . A pseudo-casting director, Catherine Leclerc (in reality Jean-Marc Morandini under a pseudonym), had sent them emails asking them insistently to send videos of them naked, with their pubes shaved, and of scenes of masturbation sometimes with ejaculations.
