“You can’t forget such an experience”
A French-Israeli citizen, Batsheva Yaalomi waits and hopes that her husband will return. The latter was kidnapped in one of the kibbutz attacked by terrorists on October 7, 2023.There are days when I tell myself that he is a strong man, he will be OK, he will survive, he will come back.”, she emphasizes. Other days, this mother fears that he is no longer alive.
On the day of the attack, Batsheva Yaalomi managed to escape with her two daughters, but her husband and son were taken away by the terrorists. After 51 days of detention, her 12-year-old son was released. “You can’t forget such an experience”, deplores the mother. His children ask their mother every day if their father will come back. She doesn’t know, but she wants to deliver a message of peace. “We must find a solution to live next to each other”she implores.
