Six men tried this Thursday for armed robbery in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps

They had tried to steal a luxury car in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps. Six men appear before the criminal court of Tours, this Thursday afternoon. They are suspected of having participated in the organization of a car-jacking, armed robbery of a BMW X5June 15, 2020. Two are prosecuted for aggravated theft, one for complicity and the other three for concealment.

BMW driver threatened with gun

This morning in June 2020, a Corpo-Petrusian, owner of a BMW X5, got into his car. Barely gone, two men jump on the vehicle, force it to stop. They then threaten with a gunpull him out of the cabin and throw him violently to the ground, before fleeing in the SUV.

The two attackers then try to hide the vehicle, the time to sell it. The SUV is estimated between 66,000 and 99,000 euros at the argus. Finally, the police found the BMW with a false license plate, in the Bergeonnerie district of Tours.

Up to ten years in prison

At the helm this Thursday, the two alleged thieves, aged 19 and 20. The oldest incurs up to ten years in prison. The youngest, a minor at the time, was sentenced by the juvenile judge to four years in prison. It is still presented to the criminal court, to fix the damages due to the victim and civil party.

For the four other defendants, aged 20 to 24 and prosecuted for complicity or concealment, the court will have to determine their responsibilities and their degree of involvement in this car-jacking.

The victim should not be present at the hearing, still in shock, according to his lawyer, contacted by France Bleu Touraine.
