Police arrested six men in France and Belgium. They exchanged child pornography files of victims aged between 3 and 15 years old. They are all in pre-trial detention on Thursday February 22.
During the searches, the gendarmes seized computers, hard drives, USB keys and found 930,000 child pornography files, with 120 French-speaking victims, aged 3 to 15 years old. The affair begins in Orléans (Loiret). The police spot predators who approach teenagers on social networks. Predators establish a connection with victims asking for nude or underwear photos.
Some pedophiles have taken action
Its contents are then exchanged on icq, an anonymous Russian messaging service. All the suspects are well-integrated men, five French and one Belgian, aged 36 to 61. All are in pre-trial detention on Thursday February 22. Some are suspected of rape and sexual assault. “These are indeed child criminals who, some of them, have been led to act on minors around them”, indicates Emmanuelle Bochenek-Puren, public prosecutor of Orléans. For child protection associations, these predators take advantage of the weakness of controls on social networks.
