The French Elite athletics championships begin this Friday at the Hélitas stadium in Caen and continue until Sunday. Six Mayennes have qualified and could win medals, especially in the 10,000m walk.
Three Mayenne clubs represented
Sounkamba Sulla will start the 400m this Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. The sprinter from Laval Agglo Athlé 53 (L2A53) has a very promising season this year, after being selected last summer for the Tokyo Olympics.
There will also be four athletes from the EANM (Entente athlétisme Nord-Mayenne): Matthias Orban pole vault, Marvin Pistol in 110m hurdles, Charles Fox over 200m and Laura Salin-Eyike in high jump.
Gabriel Bordier, licensed at the Saint-Berthevin club (USSB), he will start Sunday morning on the 10,000 meter walk at 9am.
