Edith Stehfest Reflects on Her Jungle Experience

Last Saturday evening, Berlin’s own Edith Stehfest, a talented musician, bid farewell to her dreams of jungle glory. In the RTL hit show ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!’ she was voted out alongside actor Timur Ülker, leaving behind contestants Lilly Becker, Alessia Herren, and Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss. In a candid interview, Edith shares her thoughts on the challenges faced in the jungle and how she intends to channel her experiences into her artistry.

Surprises and Challenges in the Jungle

When asked about her exit just before the finale, Edith expressed a mix of disappointment and acceptance. “It’s certainly not ideal to leave so close to the finish line, but I honestly didn’t expect to make it this far,” she shared. Reflecting on her ability to collect all the stars in a challenge just before her elimination, she described it as a “fantastic feeling” that highlighted the joy and camaraderie she experienced, despite the emotional rollercoaster of the jungle.

Regarding her competitive spirit, Edith believes that motherhood naturally instills resilience. “Mothers are fighters by default as they nurture and safeguard their little ones,” she noted. She emphasized the importance of showcasing strength and femininity in all its diverse forms, expressing her passion for physical activity and movement.

On her overall experience in the camp, she felt a sense of fulfillment, especially after reconciling with fellow contestants. “I was able to mend fences with Alessia, and we even shared a bed. Resolving conflicts and learning from mistakes is beautiful,” she remarked. Despite being a polarizing figure, Edith is unapologetically herself, stating that she has always embraced her uniqueness, even when it didn’t align with societal expectations.

When asked about interpersonal dynamics in the camp, she mentioned that her biggest challenges were with her fears of spiders and snakes, rather than with her fellow contestants. “I can’t label anyone as ‘bad’—everyone is equal to me,” she explained. Her time in the jungle taught her to appreciate the little things in life, emphasizing how stability and routine can lead to greater joy.

Discussing her struggle with ADHD, Edith acknowledged the impulsivity that comes with the disorder but also recognized its role in fostering creativity and spontaneity. She sees her ADHD not as a hindrance but as a source of many beautiful moments.

As an artist, Edith plans to infuse her jungle experiences into her music. “Erik and I create electronic music as ISO 3000, and I believe our jungle journey will inspire our future tracks,” she concluded, expressing excitement about returning to the studio.
