Florent Pagny announced the bad news himself in a video posted on Instagram and Facebook on Tuesday evening. Facing the camera, the singer explains to his subscribers that he has“a cancerous tumor in the lungs”. The singer also announces that he cannot continue his tour started last November.
His canceled tour
The disease could not be operated, Florent Pagny has decided to cancel all the concerts of his 60th anniversary tour. “In life, the most important thing is health and when you have a problem, it becomes a priority. I have to enter a six-month protocol of chemotherapy and X-rays” he explains. “Me and my other half have to put ourselves in warrior mode in order to face this ordeal”. He pursues : “You will still see me on the red armchair of The Voice in great shape because everything has been recorded”.
At the end of his video, Florent Pagny wanted to reassure his fans: “I will come to finish what I started”.
Florent Pagny was to perform in particular this Tuesday evening in Tours (Indre-et-Loire), January 26 in Angoulême (Charente), the 27th in Le Mans (Sarthe) and in several other cities in France until March. He was to end his tour with a series of concerts at the Seine Musicale in Paris.
