Singer Corneliu Munteanu, who made a name for himself on the show Star Académie, is accused of drugging two people without their knowledge, in 2013 and 2016.
The charge is the same for the two alleged victims: of having administered or caused to be taken “a poison, a destructive substance or a deleterious substance”, with the intention of afflicting or tormenting a person .
In both cases, the alleged acts were allegedly committed in Montreal, the first time in August 2013 and the second in June 2016.
The 39-year-old artist was the subject of an arrest warrant in November and was due to appear Wednesday afternoon at the Montreal courthouse.
