Singer Cat Stevens will release a new album this summer

(New York) Legendary British singer-songwriter Cat Stevens will release a new album of original songs this summer that took him more than a decade to craft and in which he revisits the theme of unity.


The collection of 12 songs is titled King of a Land and was released in June on Dark Horse Records, the record label founded by George Harrison. The album cover artwork shows a boy playing guitar on top of the Earth, while a cat stretches and a train cruises along a track.

The album reunites Stevens with producer Paul Samwell-Smith, who produced three albums by the artist between 1970 and 1972: Tea for the Tillerman, Teaser and the Firecat And Catch Bull at Four.
