Beyoncé’s new album, “Cowboy Carter”, is available since Friday March 29. A country record in which the singer claims this musical genre, rather reserved for white artists.
One of the most anticipated albums of the year was released on Friday March 29. After several weeks of waiting, Beyoncé unveiled the highly anticipated Cowboy Carteract II of his trilogy Renaissance. For the first time, a black woman is number one in country music sales. Country music, very popular in the United States, is generally associated, despite its African-American origins, with white artists.
A global star
Beyoncé has been reinventing herself for 25 years. Aged 17 when she was discovered with her R&B group “Destiny’s Child”, she made history with the record for the most wins at the Grammy Awards. Paradoxically, out of her 32 awards, she has never won best album. She explodes all the charts with more than 100 million albums sold. Proof of his influence, in 2013, Barack Obama invited him to sing for his inauguration. In 2016, during halftime of the Super Bowl, she denounced police violence and took action against all forms of discrimination.
