The book by Giulia Foïs, What feminism did to me (Éd. Flammarion) was published Thursday March 14. In this work, the journalist and author tells how she discovered feminism and how, thanks to it, she was able to put a word on the inequalities that persist between men and women. “Feminism tells you: ‘You’re not crazy, what you feel, it’s not just you who feels it, there are tens, hundreds of thousands of us, and have been for decades'”explains Giulia Foïs, guest on 12/13 info, Friday.
“Feminism keeps you on your feet”
“Since feminists have existed, we have tried to decry them from all sides, so, among the arguments, there is this argument according to which they would harm the feminine, they would harm women, they would scare men. (…) Everything is good to discredit them and to scare away all those who are tempted”develops the journalist. “The truth is that feminism keeps you on your feet”, says Giulia Foïs. The journalist, who her mother accuses of being “too radical”demands that we be more so with regard to violence against women.
