Vincent, a famous successful entrepreneur, breaks down on a small mountain road in the middle of nowhere. A man will come to his aid, and Vincent will discover that he lives in nature, isolated and cut off from the world.
The simple things, it is the confrontation of two worlds and two men with opposite temperaments. Vincent is a hyperactive, successful businessman, founder of the largest European dating site. Pierre lives recluse like a true hermit in the mountains, in nature, with his dog, far from the modern world which he rejected for a long time. Vincent will break down in the middle of the mountains, with his convertible car. But we will discover that this failure is not entirely the result of chance, and that our CEO has ideas behind his head…
The meeting of these two men will obviously upset their lives and raise questions about their diametrically opposed lifestyles. Are they really happy living like this?
The problem is that it is hard to believe in this meeting and their discussion does not convince us. The dialogues are poor, just like the screenplay is simplistic and the production by Éric Besnard (Delicious), lazy and without finesse.
We are entitled to a Vincent who discovers the benefits of the great outdoors, of the siesta and the omelette eaten in the open air, it is true authentic happiness. The director demonstrates to us that living at a hundred miles an hour as he does is not very pleasant or recommended, and that life without a cell phone or a schedule, in the heart of nature with the bears, is is so much better! And on the other side, the gruff man who does not speak and who prefers nature to the presence of humans will discover that it feels good to open up to the outside world…
The duo of actors is still quite successful. Lambert Wilson excels as a man in a hurry and egocentric. Grégory Gadebois is very fair as a stubborn mountaineer. The setting is majestic, the mountains are inspiring, but the film is predictable and without any originality.
