Monia Chokri’s film has crossed the million mark in revenue since its theatrical release on September 22.
According to the distributor Immina Films, led by Patrick Roy, the film which notably stars Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Pierre-Yves Cardinal, Monia Chokri’s film even generated 8% additional admissions this weekend compared to the last week.
Simple like Sylvain, produced by Sylvain Corbeil and Nancy Grant, also continues its momentum in Paris where the film was released in theaters last Wednesday. To date, there are just over 61,000 entries.
Monia Chokri’s third feature film was presented in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival last May. The film has been sold to almost 50 countries so far.
