While Simple like Sylvain is a great success at the Quebec box office, a British distributor, Vertigo Releasing, has acquired the rights to Monia Chokri’s film for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Nature of Lovethe English title of the feature film starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Pierre-Yves Cardinal, should be released theatrically in these two countries next spring, according to the site Variety.
The film’s UK premiere will take place this Friday at the BFI London Film Festival.
Simple like Sylvain will also be presented in cinemas in France. Its release in France is scheduled for November 8.
Since its arrival in Quebec theaters on September 22, the feature film which tells the story of the passion between a university professor and a construction contractor has collected more than $660,000 at the box office.
