The star of the Netflix series made this confidence when she was invited to the Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Monday. The young woman explained, hilarious, that she got tattooed during the Covid-19 crisis in 2020. “I was in Los Angeles, in full confinement I was doing this kind of stuff like making banana bread, hair coloring, she started to explain before continuing, I thought it would be a good idea to make my own tattoos with a needle.“
The 26-year-old Briton, who therefore tattooed her ankle, then scoured the internet to find a complete kit. “JI didn’t even need ID” she said to the host. She then said that she had found different techniques and some tutorials on the net. “I found this video that said things like ‘oh I can use this stick deodorant’ to have a chemical reaction on the transfer paper and that kind of stuff. And after that was saying some deep stuff and I was thinking ‘oh, this guy is using some really interesting stuff” she recalled.
It was then that the star realized that she was watching the videos of a prisoner. “Then I saw his handle was ‘prisontattoo.com’ so I looked at his videos and thought ‘wow, there’s an inmate making videos in prison.” Taken by the game and the challenge, Simone Ashley finally threw herself into the experience. “I thought the idea was brilliant, and I did it! I followed his instructions and tattooed myself and former colleagues I worked with in the past“explained the actress, proudly displaying her ankle sphinx (see slideshow).
