Simon de Bourran, an assumed love of French variety

In the spotlight in La Nouvelle Scène Aquitaine this week, I present to you Simon de Bourran. Originally from the Landes, he now lives in Bayonne.

This 20-year-old discovered music just 10 years ago when his parents gave him a guitar for Christmas. After leaving her hanging around for a few months, he decides to take lessons. Clearly more gifted than the others, he began to take this activity more seriously, working on basic chords thanks to the song “Caravane” by Raphaël or “L’Aziza” by Daniel Balavoine. In parallel with the guitar, he also begins to learn singing. He then practices alone in his room, hidden from his parents and friends…

Some time later, he introduced his friends to his first track, “Penses-tu”. This is the beginning of these first compositions but also concerts in open scenes in the Landes.

Since then he has produced about fifteen compositions, French variety style, such as “Ana”, “This same dream every night” or the next single “Woodstock”. He talks about his family, his (many) friends and his more or less serious loves. Simon De Bourran distributes his titles on his Spotify account but also his Instagram account where he regularly offers covers and videos.
