The prices of major retail brands were scrutinized by a study published Monday May 20. The gap is very significant depending on the region.
The price of the shopping cart can vary significantly from one brand to another, but also depending on the region, reveals a recent study. The difference can reach 22.9% difference. Among the least expensive regions, we find Brittany with Côtes-d’Armor, Vendée in Pays de la Loire, and Vosges in the East. On the other hand, Paris and its region, Haute-Savoie and the Mediterranean rim are among the areas where prices are the highest.
How to explain such a difference ? First of all, the purchasing power of customers. In areas where the average income is high, such as in Paris, brands tend to offer more high-end products. The geographic location of distributors is another factor. In the West, the concentration of different brands makes it possible to offer more competitive prices. Good news, however: regardless of the region, prices should no longer increase. The period of high inflation has indeed passed.
