Siemens Gamesa launched this Wednesday in Le Havre its production for offshore wind power

We learned in a press release sent this Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Siemens Gamesa started wind production in Le Havre this Wednesday. Offshore wind turbine nacelle assembly and blade production are for the first time in the world grouped together on a single site.

The first 500 positions have been filled out of the 750 jobs to be created in total. The remaining 250 positions should be filled between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. This is the largest industrial renewable energy project in France according to the company.

In this press release, Marc Becker, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Offshore Divisionsays: “We are proud to produce our first offshore wind turbine components in Le Havre. This historic project, which for the first time brings together the production of nacelles and blades on the same site, is a major economic opportunity for the Normandy region and constitutes one of the main achievements of the renewable energy sector in France.”
