A few weeks before the start of the regular season, Sidney Crosby obviously has high expectations for Oilers captain Connor McDavid.
Last season, the number 97 of the Alberta-based club had a 153-point season, which represents the highest haul for an NHL player since Mario Lemieux during the 1995-1996 campaign. The Pittsburgh Penguins legend then blackened the scoresheet 161 times.

Sidney Crosby, the captain of the “Pens”, seems to have high expectations for the first overall pick of the 2015 draft. He even thinks that the Oilers star could amass 170 points or more this year.
“I mean, I didn’t think 150 would be in the cards for him, but he found a way to get there,” he said in remarks relayed by the website NHL.com. So I don’t think anything is out of the question for him as far as the numbers go.”
The 36-year-old also reiterated his desire to play with McDavid with Canada. The two athletes will probably have the opportunity to do so, since the deputy commissioner of the National League had declared that the organization of an international competition was in the plans.
During the most recent campaign, Crosby had 33 goals and 60 assists for 93 points in 82 games.
