In total, 12% of sick leaves prescribed in 2021 are linked to the Sars-Cov-2 virus. This proportion of sick leaves due to Covid-19 doubled between 2020 and 2021, according to the annual absenteeism barometer published Monday, December 6 by Malakoff Humanis *. In 2020, this reason for stopping represented 6% of total absences.

The study also notes another increase: that concerning the stops for psychological disorders or professional exhaustion. They represent 17% of stoppages in 2021 against 15% in 2020.

Conversely, absences for ordinary illnesses (flu, colds, etc.) fell to 25% of the total, against 30% in 2020. Note that even if these prescriptions are more numerous than in 2020, they are not not necessarily respected by employees. A quarter of the stops are thus taken partially or not at all.
