sick, his daughter Lila Moss unveils her “devices” in an advertising campaign, this gesture highly praised on the Web

This isn’t the first time Lila Moss, daughter of Kate Moss, has made a dramatic appearance with a medical device. Type 1 diabetic, she never leaves her insulin pump and her blood glucose self-monitoring device. Even better, she wears them proudly, no matter the occasion.

Starting with the Met Gala. Accompanied by her mother on May 2, the 19-year-old young woman revealed her insulin pump on her thigh, below a completely transparent flesh-colored dress. We also saw her parade with it during the Fendi-Versace show at Milan Fashion Week last September, when she had bare legs in shorts. Then more recently, on May 9, for the advertising campaign for the collaboration between these two Italian Houses, called “Fendace”, which she relayed on her Instagram account. Squatting with bare arms, this time she shows her blood glucose self-monitoring device.

And Lila Moss is right to do so, as much for her health, since she can constantly monitor her blood sugar and therefore avoid many worries. Only for questions of visibility, given that sick people, in his case diabetic, are often poorly represented, if at all, in the world of luxury. For this strong gesture, the young model is therefore warmly welcomed. “Just like my daughter who is a type 1 diabetes warrior #Diabadass”can we read in the comments of his post.

“Diabetes corresponds to a prolonged rise in the concentration of glucose in the blood: we speak of hyperglycemia. In the case of type 1 diabetes, this disorder is due to a deficit of insulin, a hormone that regulates blood sugar. Potentially very serious if it is not controlled, type 1 diabetes is now very well managed (but not cured) thanks to an exogenous insulin supply.Patients who benefit from insulin therapy have thus life expectancy equivalent to the rest of the population”explains the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) on its website.
