“Porn, the hell of the decor”: this is the title of a senatorial report presented Wednesday, September 28, 2022 by four senators from different political sides. This report follows the rape investigation launched in June 2022 against pornographic content sites. The report denounces the production of ever more violent content but also the working conditions of actresses and actors in the industry. So, should we better regulate the production and consumption of pornographic films?

Rola Tarsissi, senior reporter for Complément d’Enquête and Céline Piques, spokesperson for Dare feminism are in the Talk to discuss it. Manon Mella also receives Chloé Thibaud, journalist and author of the book Hum Hum: And if we really talked about sex? at Webedia Book editions.

The fourth part of the report on the pornography industry in France tackles the issue of sex education. Beyond the denunciation of a business plagued by violence, the report points out “the failure of sex education in France today”.

Using the formulation of psychologist Béatrice Copper-Royer, the report presents the use of pornographic content by children and adolescents as “an unhealthy response to a healthy concern”. Also, sex education seems to be the main recommendation to fight against the exposure of the youngest to excessively violent content.

Join us from 6 p.m. Monday to Friday on the franceinfo Twitch channel to participate in Manon Mella’s Talk. An hour of exchange, clarification, debate around topical and social issues.
