The SPVM police officers were called by residents of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, in the West Island of Montreal, because of shots fired in a residential area.
At around 2:55 p.m., an individual allegedly opened fire near the intersection of Brahms and Mozart streets. He reportedly fled before the police arrived.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the SPVM officers set up a security perimeter and began to search the area. They were able to find a bullet hole on a residence on Brahms Street as well as a casing in the ground.
The incident reportedly caused no injuries. No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators are on site to try to gather evidence and shed light on this case.
