Shots fired at two locations in less than an hour in Montreal

Shots were fired in less than an hour, Saturday afternoon, in two areas of Montreal located nearby.

The police were first called to go to the intersection of rue Achim and boulevard Keller, in the Saint-Laurent borough, where shots were heard around 4:15 p.m.

A projectile impact was observed on a dwelling, while a cartridge case was found on the ground, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Comtois.

Nearly 45 minutes later, other shots were recorded, this time at the intersection of Albert-Prévost and Albert-Lesage avenues, in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.

At least one bullet impact was then found in the window of a dwelling, as well as a socket on the ground.

No injuries were reported in the two events. SPVM investigators must go to the two protected scenes to try to determine the circumstances, it was specified.
