Shots were fired during the night from Monday to Tuesday in Kirkland, a municipality located in the west of the island of Montreal.
According to the Montreal Police Department (SPVM), the detonations were heard around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday on Beaubois Street, near the intersection with Timberlea-Trail Street.
“When the patrol officers arrived on the scene, they located several bullet holes in the garage of a residence,” said officer Antony Dorélas, who is a spokesperson for the SPVM.
A security perimeter has been set up to allow forensic technicians to carry out their analyses. Investigators have also been deployed, in particular to view images filmed by surveillance cameras.
The SPVM did not report any injuries in connection with this event.
No one had been arrested in the case as of early Tuesday morning, as the investigation continued.
