“You should know that the two Célestins have been the subject of very major organized crime investigations in recent years and that they were very influential in the Montreal underworld, particularly Jean-Philippe Célestin, who is still alive” , details in an interview with TVA Nouvelles the journalist Félix Séguin.

The murder of Brandon Jean Célestin is, according to several sources consulted by TVA Nouvelles, part of a plan to reorganize the forces present in Montreal organized crime.

The Célestin brothers also lost their cousin in 2014, who was murdered.

“It’s an extremely harsh world,” says Mr. Séguin.

Jean-Philippe Célestin has been seen in several places in the metropolis in recent days aboard an armored vehicle and benefiting from close protection.

“Perhaps this can tell us more, or give us the idea that several gangsters in the middle of the metropolis are protecting themselves from possible hitmen hired by who knows who,” concludes the journalist.

The victim was allegedly surprised by one or more individuals who opened fire multiple times in his direction while he was walking towards his Mercedes shortly after midnight.

The crime occurred near the intersection of Bellechasse and Saint-Denis streets.
