(Laval) Another episode of gun violence claimed the life of a 28-year-old man and seriously injured a 14-year-old boy last night in Laval. The two victims had returned from a family celebration in the Chomedey sector.

Junior Lemoyne Printemps succumbed to his injuries after receiving at least one projectile from a firearm, according to our police sources.
The 28-year-old was in a Dodge Charger on Curé-Labelle Boulevard with four members of his family around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The group had just left the Paragon reception hall when the shots rang out. The car was riddled with bullets on the driver’s side.
A 14-year-old teenager, a resident of the United States visiting Quebec, was seriously injured, while two other passengers suffered minor injuries. They reportedly received several shards of glass. Neither the deceased nor the other passengers were known to the police.
A command post was established by investigators from the Laval Police Service (SPVL) who were still collecting information on Sunday morning.
