Seven men involved in the recent gang-related shootings were arrested Thursday morning. The police thus seized nearly 2 million in narcotics, several firearms, as well as a Mercedes car, nine Rolex watches and $200,000 in cash during searches carried out the same day.

Everything was distributed in a dozen residences and vehicles on the territories of Laval, Montreal and the North Shore.
The long-term investigation was conducted by the Service de police de Laval (SPL) in collaboration with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Service de police de the Longueuil agglomeration (SPAL) and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
“This major operation is the purpose of an investigation initiated in December 2021 in connection with the phenomena of urban violence linked to firearms”, we explain in a press release. Everything is part of a continuum of interventions within the framework of various actions of the Centaure project.
The suspects will face charges of drug trafficking, possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and possession of firearms.
In addition to five pistols and ammunition, police seized $1.9 million in narcotics. Six pistols and two air rifles were also found.
