The Chiefs party was ruined. At least one person died and nine others were injured in shootings on Wednesday, February 14, in Kansas City, during the parade celebrating the local team’s victory in the Super Bowl, according to firefighters from this town in Missouri, in the central United States. Three of the injured are in critical condition and five others in serious condition.

“Shots fired around Union Station. Please leave the area.”Kansas City police announced on X (formerly Twitter). Two people “armies” were arrested in the crowd and are detained “to continue the investigation”announced the police, still on X.

Law enforcement officers were deployed in large numbers at the scene, protected by yellow cordons characteristic of crime scenes in the United States. Tens of thousands of people celebrated the Chiefs this Wednesday, who marched through the streets of Kansas City to celebrate their victory on Sunday in the Super Bowl, the annual high mass of American football. The traditional line of double-decker buses moved up Grand Boulevard toward the old Union Station, where the shooting took place as the parade drew to a close.
