Shooting in Longueuil in April | Main suspect sentenced to five and a half years in prison

The Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) adds that this suspect, Gandhi Estimé, pleaded guilty last Friday to charges of illegal possession of a firearm, negligent use of a firearm and of breach of prescription.

The 39-year-old man was sentenced to five and a half years in prison.

The shooting occurred early in the morning of April 21 at the residence located on Daniel Street. Two suspects were quickly arrested by SPAL patrol officers and a third managed to flee.

A vast police operation was deployed to find him.

Several investigative steps ultimately allowed the SPAL to identify the shooter, Gandhi Estimé, and to arrest him on December 20.
