A man was targeted by gunfire but was not hit on Friday morning in the Villeray district of Montreal.
Around 7:20 a.m., several citizens contacted 911 to report hearing explosions that sounded like gunshots, near the intersection of Lanaudière and Everett streets.
When the police arrived, they found neither victim nor suspect.

However, several shell casings were found on the ground.
According to our information, the shots were fired from a moving vehicle.

The man who was targeted apparently managed to take refuge in an apartment building without being hit.
A security perimeter was erected to protect the crime scene.
No arrests have yet been made in this case.
