“Several” people were “hit” by gunfire late Sunday afternoon in a large shopping center in Copenhagen, Danish police said.
Large police reinforcements have been dispatched to the vicinity of the Fields shopping center in the Amager district, located between the city center and the capital’s airport, Copenhagen police said on Twitter.
“We are on the spot, shots have been fired and several people have been hit,” she wrote.
When the first shots were heard, more than a hundred people rushed outside the shopping mall, according to witnesses quoted by Danish media.
Police are calling on those within the building to await his arrival inside, and for all others to stay away from the area.
