Tuesday afternoon, TVA Nouvelles obtained blood-curdling new details in connection with the shots fired at the Philippe-Panneton library in Laval on Monday evening.

An individual who was outside then opened fire to reach an 18-year-old young man.
Met on the spot, Richard Nadon, president of the Syndicate of office workers in technical and professional service of Laval, explained to TVA Nouvelles that there could have been collateral victims, because five employees he represents as well as families were inside, very close to the victim who had been hit by the projectiles.
The latter, who is known to the police, would have arrived “in fear” in the library in the early evening.
“The bullet holes are (visible) above the service counter. I had workers who were really beside the stage, but they were unaware, said Richard Nadon.
“They could hear the windows and it was later, when the police came to investigate, that they noticed that the bullets were in the wall, behind the place where they were working.”
Moreover, Mr. Nadon explains that the employees receive psychological support from the City of Laval and that their return to work could be delayed given the trauma experienced.
By noting that the scourge of firearms is growing in the greater Montreal area, gunshots in a library, it has gone too far.
“Yes. I think the library is a place of peace, raises Mr. Nadon. There were users with children. ”
Citizens who frequent the library to whom we have shown the place could not believe how close some people were to death.
