Three people, hooded and armed, burst into a wedding in Moselle. They opened fire on the guests. One person died and five others were injured.

A shooting took place on the night of Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 June, around 1am, during a wedding in Thionville (Moselle) where around a hundred people were present, franceinfo learned on Sunday 30 June from concordant sources. This shooting left one dead and five injured. Three are in critical condition, this source said.
According to the first elements of the investigation, three hooded people armed with two assault rifles and a shotgun arrived aboard a 4×4 and burst into the area surrounding the reception room. The Eden Palace where a wedding of people from the Turkish community took place.
The three attackers opened fire on three people who were outside the wedding hall and two others in the entrance hall before fleeing in their car.
The motive for the shooting is currently unknown, but a source close to the investigation said the scene was covered by video surveillance.
