A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Japan last Monday, causing dozens of deaths. There are still around a hundred people still missing in the rubble.
“I hope we continue to come together to support those whose lives have been turned upside down,” Ohtani said. I hope for a rapid rescue of the missing people and the reconstruction of the disaster areas.”
The 29-year-old Japanese joined the Dodgers on December 9 as a free agent. He signed a record 10-year, $700 million contract.
