These are two departures that many expected… At the end of the eighth bonus of Dance with the starsthese are Black M and James Denton who were eliminated by the public. Seven couples were still competing this evening to compete on the floor, with each having the opportunity to dance to a song that has marked their lives.
The first 10 of the season were thus delivered, one for Ines Reg from Fauve Hautot, the other given by Mel Charlot to the influencer Nico Capone. But Black M and James Denton did not succeed in convincing the judges at first, then the public at the end of the final duel, where they were confronted with Nico Capone. With 53% votes collectedthe influencer flies off to the next week, while the two other men failed to seduce viewers.
Black M had tried to save his place with Elsa Bois on an American smooth on “Not here” by Vianney, “the first song his son sang”. But with a back injury that the rapper only mentioned after his performance, the miracle was indeed not there, with only 25 points collected. The judges noted the rapper’s technical progress, however not sufficient compared to the level of the competitors, which placed Black M in last place in the ranking.
A departure planned in advance for Black M
The departure of Black M during this prime, however, left little doubt. Internet users recently discovered that the rapper is scheduled to perform on stage next Friday, April 19 at the Grand Rex in Paris. A concert hardly compatible with a presence on the floor at the same time for the semi-final.
For James Denton, the result was just as mixed. With his partner Candice Pascal, the famous actor of Desperate Housewives gave it all on a paso doble with the James Bond soundtrack to accompany it. As always, a remarkable artistic performance, but with numerous technical shortcomings.
The candidates still in the race – Ines Reg, Natasha St-Pier, Keiona, Roman Doduik and Nico Capone – will therefore have to face each other next week during the semi-final, which could again see two couples being eliminated just before the final, April 26.
