A classic of European football, and perhaps even the most widespread of classics. Since 2008, Spain and Italy have systematically crossed paths at the Euro. A habit continued this year in Germany, Thursday June 20 in Gelsenkirchen (at 9 p.m.), for their second match in Group B, undoubtedly the toughest of the competition. A shock that the two nations approach with confidence.

Opposed to Croatia for their entry into the competition, the Spaniards made their mark by defeating Luka Modric’s teammates (3-0) on Saturday, a score already acquired at the break. On the Italian side, the start proved more delicate against Albania, since the Squadra Azzurra found themselves trailing Dortmund after around twenty seconds of play. But two long-range strikes from Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella reversed the situation (2-1). Between Spaniards and Italians, it is therefore already a final for first place in this group, while La Roja will end its group stage against Albania, while Italy will finally face Croatia .
