(Laval) A young man succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a swerve in Laval.
The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Saturday while the motorist was driving on avenue des Bois, heading west, very close to the access ramp leading to highways 13 and 440.
“We do not yet know the reason why he lost control of his vehicle, but he swerved several times and finally, unfortunately, was ejected from his vehicle,” said Geneviève Major, public affairs lieutenant for the Police Department. of Laval (SPL).
The man, aged 29, was alone in his vehicle. He was in critical condition when taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries in the morning. His identity was not immediately released.
No one else was involved in the accident and there do not appear to be any witnesses at this late hour in this area, far from homes and businesses.
No hypothesis was excluded to explain the tragedy.
“Everything can be considered at the moment, whether it is the speed or the condition of the driver. Currently, there is obviously a crime scene where the forensic identification technicians, then our investigators from the accident investigation squad have been there,” explained Lieutenant Major.
Traffic was still disrupted in the area around 11:00 a.m., on Avenue des Bois between Rue Principale and Montée Champagne.
