A “sixty-year-old” advertising for seniors
Currently in full promotion of his new comedy, sexygenaires, directed by Robin Sykes, in which he finds Patrick Timsit, and screened in theaters from June 14, the actor admits to taking pleasure in laughing at everything… starting with himself. Thus this feature film tells the story of two friends who become senior models in order to overcome the financial difficulties they are going through. Far from rhinestones and sequins, the two accomplices find themselves lending their faces to advertisements for stairlifts, dentures and glue for teeth, but also “comfort” diapers. An almost jubilant and permanent self-mockery for the actor who says that in the middle of promotion, and a succession of interviews, he sometimes cracks up… and “swings” on his friends.

During a “day when we do interviews, one after the other, it’s very tiring, so you have to put a little spice in there (…) and after me, there was Michèle Laroque. And so, I do the interview with the guy and he tells me, now, I’m going to interview Michèle. And I say to him: ‘good luck with Michèle, the only thing, do you know?, he says no, well she had a hearing problem and therefore you have to talk to her very loudlyarticulate well, speak loudly, otherwise she doesn’t understand anything and she’s super embarrassed because she doesn’t dare say it’, he explains under the laughter of the chroniclers, before continuing: “So she arrives, and there the journalist (taking a strong tone): HELLO MICHELE LAROQUE, WE’RE REALLY VERY HAPPY TO SEE YOU TODAY…” It was so good, I was hiding at the beginning to listen… but she suspected”.
