Sherbrooke | The vehicle of a man missing for a week is found

Sherbrooke police announced Saturday that they had located the vehicle of a 34-year-old young man who has been missing for a week. Research is continuing in the field, in conjunction with the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

Jonathan B-Bourgeois was last seen on January 13, around 5 p.m., in the northern sector of Sherbrooke. He left with his vehicle, a white 2011 Dodge Journey.

It was this vehicle that was found on Saturday. However, he was outside the territory of the Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS), more precisely on Herringville Road in Bury, a little more than 40 kilometers away.

In a press release, the police specified that “the SPS and the Sûreté du Québec are deployed on the ground for research”. “The help of residents of the area is requested,” it was indicated, adding that any relevant information related to this matter can be transmitted to the Sherbrooke police, by calling 819 821-5555.

According to the police description, Jonathan B-Bourgeois has brown eyes and medium-length curly brown hair. He is approximately six feet tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.

At the time of his disappearance last week, he was wearing a khaki green parka and fur hood, as well as a gray toque, beige snow pants and gray booties.

The main person concerned is also bearded, has “stretch” ears and speaks primarily in French. His family says they have reason to fear for his safety.
