Sherbrooke | A sick septuagenarian disappeared Thursday afternoon

(Sherbrooke) A septuagenarian who is experiencing serious health problems, according to members of his family, has been missing since Thursday afternoon in Sherbrooke and the police are asking for the public’s help to find him.


The Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS) reports that Luc Albert Turcotte, who is 78 years old, left his home on Papineau Street with his vehicle to go to a garage located on Belvédère Sud Street.

He never showed up there. He was last seen around 4 p.m. traveling south on rue Belvédère Sud.

The SPS was notified of the motorist’s disappearance, but its search efforts were in vain. The old man’s family is worried about his safety.

Luc Albert Turcotte, who speaks French, is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He wears glasses and his hair is white.

When he was last seen, he was wearing jeans, a short-sleeved shirt with palm tree designs, and a navy blue winter coat.

He was driving a white Hyundai Elantra compact sedan with the license plate number Z64 HDE.

Anyone with information that could help us locate Luc Albert Turcotte is asked to contact the Sherbrooke Police Department.
