A baby girl was born on her father and grandfather’s birthday, a very special day for the Ontario family.
It was therefore on February 10, shortly after midnight, that little Brooklyn Anne Jackson was born, thus sharing the same birthday as her father Josh, born in 1993, and his grandfather Dave, born in 1970, reported the “National Post”.
While some say the odds of three generations of a family sharing the same birthday are one in 133,000, others estimate it to be more like one in 48 million. But regardless, the Chatham family are just thrilled with the baby’s arrival.
“I’m just glad she’s healthy,” the new dad said proudly.
Pregnancy-related complications cast doubt on the birth of the little girl, pushing the family to hesitate between continuing the pregnancy or inducing the delivery. Finally, it was Brooklyn Anne who decided to show up.
“When it was time to go, it was time to go,” mom Natasha Jackson said with a laugh.
For his part, the grandfather said he was convinced that his granddaughter would come into the world on his birthday. The thirty-year-old tradition will therefore continue, but will become a “big family event now.
The couple do not intend to target February 10 as the date of birth for a second child, if there is another.
