“She is divine!” : The daughter of a singing star arrives in Les 12 coups de midi

September 7 is a big date for Brazil. It is Independence Day which is celebrated every year. Jean-Luc Reichmann also wanted to party and, in The 12 strokes of noon, he customized his tray in the colors of the South American country. To get into the mood, the host also received a young 33-year-old singer named Vanilla and whose hits are inspired by Brazilian music among others.

Vanille is a fantastic singer. For years, she has bewitched us with her mixed pop and folk. She’s cute, she’s divine. Ladies and Gentlemen, Vanilla“, launched Jean-Luc Reichmann. Arriving dressed in a little colorful top and denim shorts, the brunette then explained her musical style from all over the world. “I have origins from Guadeloupe and also from Corsica. You have an islander with a lot of character in front of you. And so I think I have this interbreeding in me which pushed me towards this Brazilian music which is a land of mixture.”

Was dad an inspiration?“, then asked him the companion of Nathalie Lecoultre. And for Vanille to answer: “I have always bathed in French song since I was born, it is also an inspiration for me. That’s why I say that I do mixed French songs. (…) The fact of having grown up in the culture, in the French song, it is a great chance.”

Because yes, Vanille had the best of mentors growing up, being the daughter of a famous artist. “He’s a little singer that you don’t know but still who had a little bit of success, not a lot. She is the daughter of Julien Clerc“, quipped Jean-Luc Reichmann by sharing the information. After which, Vanille was able to interpret his new title follow the sun in front of the public.

As a reminder, Vanille is the fruit of love between her father and Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel (descendant of Gustave Eiffel and of Napoleon I’s Minister of Police, Joseph Fouché).
