She immobilizes her vehicle on an itinerant in downtown Montreal

A homeless man who slept in the entrance of an underground garage was treated to a brutal and painful awakening, Monday morning, in downtown Montreal, when a vehicle partially passed over his body.

The accident, which could have had much more serious consequences, occurred around 10 a.m., in the entrance of an underground garage located on rue Beaudry, near the intersection of rue Sainte-Catherine Est.

Around 10 a.m., a driver arrived in the entrance to the garage, but did not see the homeless man who was sleeping in front of the door.

The front wheels of the Nissan sport utility vehicle (SUV) went over the man’s leg, before the driver brought her vehicle to a stop with the rear wheels directly over the same leg of the victim.

Firefighters had to use their equipment to lift the SUV and free the homeless man, a man in his 40s.

The latter was taken to hospital to treat a serious leg injury, but his life would not be threatened.

As for the driver, also in her forties, she had to be treated for nervous shock.
